While preparing for upcoming landscape workshops the other day, I ran into some photos in my Lightroom catalog that I don’t think I had ever shared here on the blog before! So, sit back and get ready to enjoy some pretty photos from random excursions from the past!

As I recall, this first photo was taken from the parking lot of a good old fashioned farmers market in Pennsylvania. It was a bucolic scene I just couldn’t resist.

Below is another photo from Pennsylvania. A magical old bridge I just happened across when exploring Lancaster County in 2015. I was at the banks of this creek to photograph a covered bridge, but a different sort of bridge was just around the corner.

This is Hunsickers Mill Covered Bridge near Bird in Hand, PA. (What a name for a town!)

And this is a moody section of a stream that flows through the Tucquan Glen Nature Preserve. We will potentially visit this very spot on the Susquehanna River Meetup in June!

I was also searching my portfolio for more northern-looking photos, preparing for a trip that will take us up north and land us in Maine for the CAPTURE Maine Landscape Workshop.

This is a view from a clearing on the top of a hill in New Hampshire I took on our honeymoon. I initially didn’t think it was worth editing, but I kinda liked what I came up with after tweaking it for a while.

Here’s another photo taken from the very same hill top, only at a different time of day and, of course, in a different direction.

This is quiet Conway Lake, also in New Hampshire. Doesn’t this scene just speak “peace” to you?

And this is a neat photo of early morning over York Lake in Massachusetts.

If you’ve known me for any length of time, you know that I love landscape photography. Who couldn’t?! 😉 God has created this world with so much beauty, and despite the curse of sin that we live with since Adam and Eve (see Genesis 3), His glory is still so richly manifest in His creation.

But as much as I love taking landscape pictures, it’s even better when I get to do it with other photographers!

And that’s why I’m so excited about the upcoming photography workshops that will be landscape-based, in Maine and Pennsylvania. With those photos edited now, I still have quite a bit of work to do in preparation for the two upcoming workshops. But at least one step on my list of things to do is checked off!
