I told the class that I didn’t have many shots of the photographers from past ACTION workshops . . .
Well, we took care of that in Minneapolis!
Here are some shots of the photography team in Minneapolis, plus a few testimonies from them about how they thought it went.
“I learned more this week than in reading photography books and watching tutorial videos. I liked the hands-on activities! It was a great class were everything was presented exceptionally well. Yes, I would attend again!!!” – Courtney. When asked about how she could have been better prepared for the workshop, she said “knowing that I was going to do a lot of walking.” So now, readers, be prepared!
“It’s a great learning environment and a crash course in event photo editing. Good environment for gaining experience.” – Mathew. It was great to have Matthew on the team as a sort of assistant. He had come through ACTION last year in Nashville and knew the ropes well enough this time around to help the Beyond Beginners while I worked with the Beginners.
“This was fun. Good practice every day.” – Israel. Israel also mentioned that he wished we had covered more on composition, so I guess he’s ready for a CAPTURE workshop to fill in the gaps! He was also the most punctual on the team which I was very grateful for, as it was a motivation for me to be on time (or should I say early?) to each of the classroom training times.
“I think this was a great experience! We actually covered more than I thought. The picture taking and editing was lots of fun!” – Mary. I couldn’t believe the amount of information she was able to assimilate over such a short amount of time and at the end of the class she mentioned that she had definitely learned “more about what you can do with a camera, and all the cool things that are important to know. :-)”.
Sadly, this was the last ACTION of 2015, but Lord willing, I’m looking forward to doing more next year than ever before! To stay in the loop about when and where next year’s ACTIONs will be, click here to subscribe to Lenspiration updates.
