The Autumn in Connecticut photography workshop was so much fun! Thank you Richard Spearin and Lydia Bennett for teaming up to bring together your photography friends to make the Photography Field Day a success!

I’m so grateful we found Castle Craig as a place to go for afternoon photos. It was a gorgeous view!

And it felt to me like the trees were at peak color. Of course, the locals had a better idea of what peak could actually be like, but for someone who had just driven up from West Virginia where the colors hadn’t quite hit with intensity yet, I thought the colors were pretty nice!

Most of the time we spent shooting that day was from up on Castle Craig.

For sunset, though, we headed off the mountain to look back up at where we had come from.

And for those who stayed after sunset, we found an overpass and experimented with more long-exposure technique.

Overall, I had a wonderful time in Connecticut and look forward to the next time I can spend some time up there! So many places to explore!
