What Are Your Goals?

What are your goals in life? Really. What has God called you to accomplish before you die? What long-range objectives are you trying to reach?

Do any of these goals require the skill of photography?

Think about that for a minute. If not, then let me encourage you to put your camera down and seek God’s face wholeheartedly for how He wants you to spend your life. On the other hand, if it does, then I encourage you to pick up your camera with boldness and a spirit of anticipation for how God will multiply your talents.

In every conversation, every workshop, every blog post, every forum reply . . . whatever! . . . what am I doing to assist other photographers in doing their part in advancing the Kingdom of God? This is the purpose of Lenspiration, this is what I’m passionate about: seeing the jurisdiction of photography reinstated under the lordship of Jesus Christ. That’s what “advancing God’s Kingdom” means to me . . . and living for that cause is what gives me fulfillment! That’s why I like to call myself a “Creation Photographer”. And one of these days, that’s something that will be worth dying for.

You see, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and brining into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. This is my calling.

Lenspiration exists to reinstate the jurisdiction of photography under the lordship of Jesus Christ (See II Corinthians 10:4-5). That is what “advancing God’s Kingdom” means to me. So, if photography is part of your mission in advancing His Kingdom, than let us lay every weight aside and make every effort possible to help each other move toward accomplishing our goals!

Depending on what your goals are, the Lenspiration Photography Workshops may help you reach them.

I spent quite a bit of time last week getting Lenspiration.com ready for this year’s photography workshops. Things are set up differently than last year, as you can see on the new Workshops Page.

Last year was my first run through holding workshops at homeschool conferences, so this year I’ve established them under the name “ACTION”. So far, and as you can see on it’s new page, five different ACTION Event Photography Workshops at five different homeschool events are being planned over the summer.

There will only be five CAPTURE workshops this year too. Because opportunities exist for CAPTUREs to be held at more than a dozen locations, I need to know which locations hold the most interest. Where there’s the most interest, that’s where I’ll go! Without committing to anything, you can indicate which locations you like by going to the new CAPTURE Landscape Photography Workshops page and submitting your name and email with the location(s) that you’re most interested in.

And yes, in step with CAPTURE’s ever growing emphasis on the artistic side of photography, I’ve added “Landscape” in it’s title. It’s more specific, and it’s the genre that I love most and the platform from which I am able to share most enthusiastically!
