The hard deadlines of filing taxes and preparing for an upcoming road trip prevented me from being able to write up a full blog post this week, but I did takes some photos over the Easter weekend that I thought you might enjoy seeing!
For the inside shots, I used a 24-70mm with a speedlight in a tidied up room and a window. I really wanted to get some “real” photos of Israel before he grew up any more! Outside, I could let the cousins play and stand back with a 70-200mm. A heavy, but super sweet lens for portraits!

I’m so grateful we celebrate Easter Sunday. Yes, it’s often a wonderful time to take and share photos of family while we’re all dressed up for the special occasionโbut it’s so much more than that!
There’s no greater event in history worth remembering and celebrating than the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. And to think that all of Christendomโon the same day and in continuous order as the sunrise traces its journey across the globeโare all worshiping and reflecting together on the sacrifice of Christ and the power of His resurrection! Death has no more dominion over Him . . . and because of His great mercy, no dominion over those who are risen with Him as well!
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (I Peter 1:3), and “But God, Who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (for by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:4-6).” Praise the Lord!

On another note, another significant event that’s happening this year here in the US is the 250th birthday of the United States! 250 years ago, a group of people took Godโs Word seriously, and a new country was born, established under God.
So, I’m very much looking forward to watching a free online event, “Under God: a 1776 Celebration Summit” from Homeschool Summits this coming week, April 13-16! It looks like it will be really good, so I encourage you to register for it and enjoy the sessions and resources they provide. Also when you register, you’ll find a special resource from Lenspiration in the swag bag!
โWe will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. . .so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.โ (Psalm 78:4, 7)

These are beautiful photos, bro!
