I watched my first Lenspiration Photo Coaching Webinar in 2018. I had submitted a photo of “the silky water effect” that I was soo excited about—the water did indeed look silky!

Uh, it also looked kinda slimy…which is exactly what James said in his critique of my photo. I hadn’t even noticed that before he mentioned it, I was so taken with my success in attaining the silky water effect.

Over the next months, I learned how to edit my photos by observing tweaks James made to photo submissions on the webinars (definitely pre-Secrets to Photo Editing photography course days 🙂).

Webinars were a great place to receive honest, kind critique on my photos, learn from the successes and growth of other photographers, interact with other Lenspiration members in the live chat, and ask questions about things James mentioned that I didn’t understand.

I would sit there, pen and paper by my side, and take thorough notes on the critique given not only on my photos, but on the photos other photographers submitted as well. It’s hard to measure exactly how much the webinars added to my growth in photography, but what I know is—they did!
